
The steam turbine tanker Erne was chartered to deliver oil products from Marsden Point refinery to destinations around New Zealand.
Manned by Kiwi crew, she sailed the New Zealand coast for 14 uneventful years, from 1970 to 1984.
Her cargos included bitumen (in heated tanks), fuel oil and marine diesel.
